St Michael's Primary School, Finnis

Welcome

Welcome to St. Michael’s PS, Finnis.

We take great pride in providing a safe, caring and nurturing environment in our school.

We take a holistic approach to the development of children and encourage a positive approach to learning. We work closely with our parents to ensure that the needs of our pupils are being met.

Our dedicated staff are committed to providing a safe, supportive, and stimulating environment where children can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

We are involved in many initiatives and activities in our school as you can see from our website and social media pages.

I hope that you enjoy visiting our school website and that it is a help to parents/guardians and members of the school community.

Many thanks

Brian McGale

Principal

We had the pleasure today of watching our children who recently got to the County Down Scor final perform their fantastic play about coaching through time today. Every one of the children showed off their dramatic skills brilliantly and absolutely everyone loved the performance, though someone had to explain to Master McGale what Insta was.....A huge thank you to Nicola B who wrote the play and coached the children fabulously! A great performance from everyone involved!! 👏🏻

World Diabetes Day 2024 đź’™
On Thursday we had the pleasure of a wonderful assembly on National Diabetes Day all about this condition, what causes it, and how it needs to be managed, led by one of our parents, before Finn, one of our pupils, visited the classrooms to give his perspective and answer questions from his friends and peers. All of our pupils had a chance to explore the difficulty of multitasking when they had to draw a picture whilst keeping a balloon in the air. This was great fun but so informative! Everyone wore blue and the money raised will go to a local charity called T1DCAT! đź’™
🌟 Check out another group of fabulous pupils receiving their Pupil of the Week certificates, for qualities such as hard work, perseverance, kindness and looking after each other. 🌟
